The indoor facilities currently available at Lancaster University are listed below. Use the links to view further information of the facility you are interested in.
25m x 13m Ozone treated deck-level design. Two lanes are normally available for uninterrupted swimming. It is fully equipped for competitive activity.
Has semi-sprung wood strip floor and is marked out for Badminton (5 courts), netball, basketball, tennis, 5-a-side football and volleyball. Also incorporates 5 cricket nets. Viewing available form 1st floor gallery.
Has semi-sprung wood strip floor, suitable for dance activities, some martial arts, trampolining, etc. Viewing is available from the 1st floor gallery.
Contains a wide variety of equipment and apparatus designed for weight training and personal fitness, including an extensive range of loose weights. Everyone wishing to use this facility must attend an induction, which can be booked at Reception.
Inductions will last around 1 hour. Once you have had your Induction, just pick up a key from Reception and you're off!
Situated on the second floor, especially for female use. The room features fixed stations and loose weights. Everyone wishing to use this facility must attend an induction.
Including the following cardio-vascular machines; steppers, cross trainers, rowing machines, treadmills & bicycles. Everyone wishing to use this facility must attend an induction, which will normally last for about an hour. Go to Reception to book an induction.
When you have completed your induction, just pick up a wrist band at Reception and you're off!
There are eight squash courts, one of which is an exhibition court. (pictured right). Phone 01524 5-94000 to book a court. You can also hire rackets and balls from reception if needed.
Don't forget to turn the light off when you're done!
There are separate sessions for men and for women. The sauna is limited to six persons.
Two fast-tanning sun beds and two tancabs are available. Sessions last 10 minutes on the sunbeds, and 5 minutes in the tancab. (Separate sessions for men and women).

The purpose of playing AEROBALL is either :-
A. To play for fun and recreation in pursuit oh health related fitness, to enjoy a game together with friends and family and have all the benefits of an aerobic workout.
B. To play a game of highly competitive sport, placing demands on the individual team - and by skill, co-ordination, strength, courage and endurance, tactics and aerial balance, obtain more points than the opposing team.

A state of the art indoor climbing facility offering 170 square metres of wall surface for climbers of all levels from beginners to world class rock athletes.
The walls vary in angle from slabs to extreme overhangs with interchangeable holds throughout. Numerous unique features have been included to provide the feel of outdoor climbing and nurture the dynamic skills necessary for climbing Full circuit traverse at any height combined with full matted floor area gives inexhaustible bouldering potential.
Novice slab and warm-up area. Self-contained, it offers an exciting training exciting training and leisure environment for everyone interested in the sport. All beginners must complete a climbing wall induction course. Changing and showering facilities are available for persons using Sports Centre facilities.
